A BILL to amend and reenact §36-12-5 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to permitting a power of attorney or conservator to sign a transfer on death deed.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
(a) An individual may transfer property to one or more beneficiaries or contingent beneficiaries effective at the transferor's death by a transfer on death deed.
(b) A power of attorney or conservator may sign a transfer on death deed.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit a power of attorney or conservator to sign a transfer on death deed.
